i wish i was joking. i just found out another friend of mine grew up with a party line also! sharing your telephone line with neighbors, so 20th century. e-cards! i'm on it!

Bryan Landers:

hahaha. come and make some e-cards, old man. you can even use your aol account to sign up! (although i confess i haven't tested that one...)

nate beaty:

i think i'm starting to show my age with easily triggered information overload. i won't follow someone that posts more than 3-4 times a day, and i only currently follow 45 folks. *creaks in porch rocker* "i tell ya, i used to have to wait for my party line to clear out so i could rotary dial the person i wanted to talk to!"

Bryan Landers:

well...some people did auto-follower dealies before. i was looking at this to find out who i was following that was following me back, who was inactive...that kind of thing. pretty useful because i'm not shy about following people (164 at the moment), but it's nice to clean house from time to time.

nate beaty:

i don't really understand these "kill those who aren't following me" services popping up. don't folks manage who they follow based on their content, not whether they're following back or not?
